Evidence Action is pleased to announce the appointment of Anthony Latta as our new Chief Financial Officer. Anthony brings extensive experience in global nonprofit and corporate finance leadership to our organization.
"In a challenging aid and global health landscape, the need for international NGOs like Evidence Action — delivering cost-effective, high-impact solutions — has never been greater," Anthony says of his decision to join our team. "Evidence Action has a proven track record of transforming lives, and I want to be part of that impact."
Bringing strategic financial leadership

Anthony joins us from IREX, where he served as Chief Financial Officer, overseeing finance, accounting, treasury, and compliance for the global nonprofit. His career spans international development, technology, and government contracting, with leadership roles at Amazon, Abt Associates, and Chemonics International. This diverse experience has equipped him with expertise in financial strategy, systems transformation, and performance optimization.
A personal connection to our mission
Anthony's commitment to our work is deeply rooted in his personal journey. Growing up on a farm in rural Texas, he benefited from scholarships and mentorship that created opportunities for his professional growth — experiences that reinforced his belief in the power of targeted interventions to transform lives.
"I believe that every person deserves dignity and respect, and one way to accomplish that is by providing healthcare and economic opportunities that enable people to live better lives," he explains.
His connection to international development deepened while working in Kenya. He met his wife there, who was providing humanitarian aid to women and children in Somalia. That period of work and life shaped his approach to creating financial systems that support rather than hinder frontline work.
Meeting the moment
In his new role, Anthony sees significant opportunities to advance Evidence Action's cost-effective, data-driven approach to international development.
"Aid volatility challenges global health efforts, but it also pushes us to find smarter, more efficient ways to deliver impact," he notes. "Evidence Action is uniquely positioned to respond, with the expertise and experience to test, validate, and scale interventions that deliver the greatest impact."
"Evidence Action's work is fundamentally about creating systems where opportunity isn't determined by geography or circumstance — something Anthony understands well," says Kanika Bahl, CEO of Evidence Action. "Anthony brings a track record of transforming financial systems to accelerate success, enabling our frontline work and focus on scaling programs that prevent illness and create pathways out of poverty for millions more people."
