Kent Walker

President of Global Affairs, Google and Alphabet

Kent is the President of Global Affairs at Google and Alphabet, where he oversees teams responsible for legal matters, government affairs, content policy, and responsible innovation. His distinguished career spans over 30 years at the intersection of technology, law, and policy, beginning with his tenure as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in San Francisco and Washington D.C., establishing one of the country’s first technology crime units and advising the U.S. Attorney General on technology policy.

At Google, he leads advocacy on competition, content, copyright, and privacy, working with government leaders and regulators around the world, and served as the first chair of the Global Internet Forum to Combat Terrorism. He held executive positions at Netscape, AOL, and eBay as they navigated the rise of the web, online communities, and ecommerce. Kent graduated with honors from Harvard College and Stanford Law School.
